Biyad gas has agreed to sponsor this year’s division two league in the upper west region. The sponsorship package includes two balls to each affiliated clubs, fuel for media personnel to go round and monitor the league, and affiliated fees for the clubs which amounts to GH¢3,400 in cash.
Security personnel will be provided across all matches centers on match days.
The league is set to begin in June prior to Congress announcements. 16 clubs have registered to participate in the league with 12 of the clubs based in Wa and 4 clubs based in Tumu and its surrounding communities.
Last year the MP for Sissala east region Hon. Ridwan Abass sponsored most of the various teams in the district to play in the league.
It is a big relieve to the teams because out of the 8 teams that played in the league last year in the Sissala district only four are still in contention to register.
Another bigger challenge aside finance is the period in which the games are organized. By the time the league begins, that is the time team managers and players are seriously engaged in their farming activities in the Sissala districts.
Kudos to Biyad Gas
