POLICE ALERTS OF NEW FRAUDULENT TREND, CAUTIONED PUBLIC TO REPORT THREATS

The public is cautioned to take heed on an emerging trend of fraud whereby the perpetrators threatens to send gangs of criminals to attack their victims if they fail to fulfill their demands. The Sissala East District Police commander ASP Stephen Abanga who revealed the information to Radford news says the fraudsters will always call people on phone alleging they know the work and amount of money their victims makes, so if the victims fail to pay a determine amount, it will be unfortunate for them as they threatens to send gangs of criminals to invade them. Though no one is arrested in this regard, the police has assured their readiness to protect life and property in the district and advised that if anybody falls victim to such threat, they should not pay any amount to any person but should hasten to report to the police for immediate steps to be taken. ASP Stephen expressed as horrific the extent to which fraudulent activities are perpetrated in recent times and warn that if the police are able to track anybody in this kind of act, they deal ruthlessly with them.
