TRADERS ROBBED OF ALL THEIR MONIES FROM BAWIESEBELLE MARKET

All the market women just arrived in Tumu about 30mins to 12am after they were robbed after returning from a newly created market at Bawiesebelle about 70km off TUMU last night. Put together, over hundred thousand Ghana cedis was taken away including that of a student of TUMU senior High Technical School.
It’s also not known what has happened to a motor rider who avoided riding onto the victims but diverted to the bush. He was chased by the robbers and all the victims heard was a gunshot. According to the victims and the driver of the truck he was stopped about 30minutes after leaving Bawiesebelle and all they saw was torchlight of three men who ordered them to all disembark in broken wali mixed with twi
‘kwasia’ lie down. They were not masked but had a gun and appeared as persons of Fulani extraction, the Victims indicated. The driver gave his two hundred Ghana first, another woman sitting in front of the vehicle also lost 7,200.00.Those in the truck were asked to come down and everything was taken away. The police met the victims at Mwanduanu after RadfordFM had caused the announcement. One of the victim told us they may have been trailed. Over twenty passengers are said to have been robbed as many said they will usually come home to check the day’s sales. We comforted the victims to catch some sleep whilst we find the exact loss in hours’ time.
