The District chief executive for the Sissala East District Hon. Karim Nanyua has disclosed he inherited little resources to survive but that notwithstanding, he continued projects initiated by his predecessor Hon. John Saborh. He said this with the perspective that development is a process and cannot be done by an individual, therefore there was the need to complete projects carried out under Social Investment Fund by former DCE Hon. Johnson Sarborh which was not able to be completed in about five communities.
Mr. Karim Nanyua further revealed that the Wellembelle health facility which has been upgraded to a polyclinic is one of the uncompleted projects farmers DCE Johnson initiated. Meanwhile free SHS, fertilizer subsidy, planting for food and jobs including some more policies and programs have been monitored to ensure smooth implementation Mr. Karim Nanyua stated during an assembly session. However, poor sanitation, low revenue, fallen standards of education and bad roads as well as poor telecommunication network and armed robbery are among many challenges that are said to hinder development process of Sissala East District the DCE stressed. He therefore calls for effective collaboration from all stakeholders to bring development to the Sissala East.
