LET US CELEBRATE DR. HILLA LIMANN’S ACHIEVEMENTS-DEP. UPPER WEST REGIONAL MINISTER

The many things the late Dr. Hilla Limann accomplished as a diplomat, selfless person and an incorruptible leader makes him an icon that we must celebrate; the Deputy Upper West Regional Minister Hon Amidu Chinnia Issahaku who spoke as the guest of honour of the 20th remembrance memorial of the late President of Ghana held in his hometown of Gwollu.
“Let us use today to celebrate his achievement and not to enquire much about his loss but remember his accomplishment”. His life was taken away too soon making it difficult to comprehend why such a thing happen to an icon like that, but remember the significant aspect of his life. His statement mentioned.
According to Hon. Chinnia, the late President took over the reigns of Ghana under very difficult times yet he faced the daunting task of re-structuring the economy by championing the virtues of morality, selflessness and eschewed greed.’ Limann’s government was on course in achieving economic emancipation for Ghana’. As we celebrate the life of a man who gave his all, the public have been called upon to emulate the selfless contribution of the legacy of Dr. Hilla Limann.
“We should emulate him as a role model especially the young people to see him as their mentor” He was an achiever and a development oriented personality who lead a purposeful life in all aspect of our country. For having being the first Northern President, the Deputy Minister stated that the NPP Government is committed to raising the image of the late President and added that very soon “his excellency Nana Addo will do a national honour in remembrance of the late President to immortalize the name of our beloved father.
Hon. Amidu appealed to the people to remain united, keep the peace and support the government for development, “All political parties come for development lets therefore not be divided”. He extended the government condolences to the family. A wreath was laid on his tomb by the minister, the family in presence of the invited chiefs beside the palace of the Gwollu Kuoro.
