337 YOUTH IN SISSALA EAST BENEFITS YEA EMPLOYMENT MODULES

From December 2016 to January 2017, 337 young people in the Sissala East District have benefited from the various YEA youth employment modules, out of which only 38 are yet to be posted. The 38 persons fall under second and third batch of Community Protection Personal module among whom 14 will tomorrow go for training the Youth employment coordinator Mr. Asemonu Robert Attah has disclosed in a presentation during the 2017 annual performance review of the Sissala East Assembly.
Whilst three more modules; Youth in paid internship, Youth in Arabic education and Youth in Graduate paid internship are yet to be implemented, 7 Environmental Protection Officers are already posted. The others are 68 community health workers, 85 community education teaching Assistants, 4 E-Health workers and 6 youth in Fire service support staff. The remaining includes 16 community Police Assistants, 6 Youth in Prison service support, 14 youth in Arabic teaching and 7 youth in Agric Extension. Meanwhile, the agency said there are no funds to embark on routine monitoring of beneficiaries to ensure they are at post despite the fact that they are being supervised by the institutional heads.
