Government has once again indicated that it’s very much concerned about the debilitating state of roads infrastructure in the Sissala area and is concerned about it.Weeks after the Paara-Gbielle festival RadfordFM, looks back at the speech of the Vice President who represented the President to this years` durbar of chiefs assembled under the patronage of the Tumu Kuoro.
In his speech, RadfordFM reporters have single out the portion on roads in view of the public concerns for the roads in the area to be maintained ahead of the many things requested and promised by the government.
Callers onto the community voices of the RadfordFM Masie Breakfast Show wants government to tackle the poor road network linking Wa through Han to Tumu and Navrongo –Bolga. It is their believe that this will open the place up for development that will create jobs for all.
“The Vice president said one of the roads which is Dear to him and the heart of the president is the Tumu-Han-Lawra road, the 150km road. By the Grace of God will see work on the road pretty soon”.
Vice president also expressed that after visiting the Sissala area for several time during and before the 2016 election, government is concerned about the challenging nature of the trunk roads as well as the feeder roads in the Sissala East Municipality. Dr. Bawumia assured Tumu Kuoro and the people of Sissala East that the roads network would receive the attention it deserves.
In the area of infrastructure in particular as the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo noted during the 61st independent anniversary celebration, this government by the grace of God is about to implement the largest infrastructure investment in the history of Ghana over the next three years.

Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia acknowledges the Akufo Addo’s government has demonstrated its firmness to delivering its policies and stated that the government is satisfied with the implementation of its policies especially the free SHS and planting for food and jobs. However, he urged the Tumu Kuoro and the security agencies as well as the citizenry to be vigilant to prevent smuggling of fertilizer into neighboring Burkina Faso.
