Newly elected NPP Regional Treasurer for the Upper West Region has indicated his intention to lobby his Colleagues for attention on the Upper West Roads. Some of us got into the positions during the period that the party was in opposition and it was not that intense and difficult but the work in a party in power is more demanding and stressful as many people compete for positions once you are in power.
The NPP Regional Treasurer Hon. Tanko Daniel who has been elected to serve his second term as the financial purse controller of the governing party,he told RadfordFM Masie Breakfast Show Tuesday morning that “he was motivated by the spirit of continuity to serve and work harder for the party. Hon. Tanko Daniel expressed that in opposition, the contest was not as fierce as it is now but in power it was quiet stiff contesting the position as he spent several folds what he spent then than now.
When he was question if he could put a figure to it he says “I spent over Forty Thousand Ghana Cedis (Gh₵.40.000) campaigning round the region to be elected, I was all over the place, aside joining the team, I moved round meeting the delegates in the constituencies. Hon.Tanko told the host, he intends to depend on his colleagues in the executives to push for the construction of the bad road network in the region especially in the Sissala area and pursue Government to include Sissala area in the creation of the new constituencies and districts.
He was thankful to the delegates for the honour done him. Particularly the support he enjoyed.
