TUMU COLLEGE OF EDUCATION GRADUATES 1,322 OF 2013/17 BATCHES OF REGULAR, UTDBE AND SANDWICH STUDENTS

Tumu College of Education over the weekend held its 2nd Congregation ceremony which saw the passing out of 1, 322 of students comprising 2013 to 2017 batches of regular students, UTDBE and Sandwich students.
The graduands were awarded Diploma in Early Childhood /Basic Education Certificates by the College under the mentorship of the Institute of Education, University Cape Coast. Three of the graduands made 1st Class in Diploma in Basic Education category for 2017, 2015 and 2014 while a little over 200 made 2nd Class Upper Division.
Delivering an address at the ceremony, the Principal of the College Mr. Adams Kaleo Bertinus acknowledged that Tumu College of Education can boast of passing out 100% especially with the regular students. He said the College is yet to produce awardee for the much revered Excellence Award Scheme organized by the Institute of Education, University Cape Coast for Colleges of Education.
Mr. Adams Kaleo commended the graduands on their graduation and advised them to prove to the world that the journey they made this far is not by chance and therefore must be passionate and show a high level of commitment to work.
He urged them to focus on their vision, dreams and aspirations because “Successful and unsuccessful people do not vary in their abilities but in their determination to reach their goal and that they should also develop logical reasoning in order to sift good from evil”, Further more they were reminded that the Diploma Certificate received should be as one that will open up better opportunities for them.
The Member of Parliament of the constituency Hon. Ridwan Abass Dauda also admonished to behave differently with consistent exhibit of diligence and commitment to duty at post. Remember your teacher put his best and today you are beneficiaries of tertiary education. He assured that government is ready to improve infrastructure at the college to facilitate teaching and learning. In the bid to promote sanitation, there shall toilets and mechanized bore hole for the college, he announced.
