Girls who are willing to go back to school after they became pregnant and dropped out in the Sissala East Municipality now have the full support of ACTIONAID Ghana to finish their education. The NGO is partnering with GES to bring back pregnant girls and those who already gave birth to school, bearing the cost of their education at the basic and Junior High level for three years. This is to afford the girls a second chance to unearth their potentials after falling out along the line due to many factors that affected them. Fifty girls will benefit from this support as interested girls are asked to register with NGOs desk officer of GES in Tumu or the Girls Education officer Madam Pualina Yawala at the office. Registration is opened till Friday 7th September 2018 before schools resume next week. Mr. Bayuko Tanko John and Madam Pualina Yawala disclosed the information on RADFORD Masie whiles they announced to the public to assist girls in such situation to take the opportunity and go to school. Apart from the support, Madam Pualina noted that government has opened doors for many more girls in same brackets to be enrolled in school but however will not come with any financial or material support. SHS graduates are exempted from the ActionAid Ghana project except that interested girls would want to begin from Basic school or JHS she emphasized.
