Some SHS student’s from the Nabulo area who could not make it to school on Saturday when schools resumed due to cut off of accessible roads by floods a week ago have successfully crossed broken welembelle Dam to school. Thomas Tommie Korung reported to RADFORD News from Nabulo that The students attempted to cross the damaged part of the road along the dam but it wasn’t possible because of the level of water running across. The students including his daughters went back until this morning a tricycle transported them to welembelle where residents assisted the students to cross to their various schools through another heavy downpour this morning. Last week’s floods spilled over welembelle dam and almost burst it out until members of the community took immediate steps to expand the spillway to allow excess water out. The flood has also made Tarso road not accessible and have made it difficult for communities like Nabulo, Santijan, Gbenebisi and Guosi among others to connect to other parts of Sissala East Municipality.
