The Tumu Kouro, Kouro Richard Babini Kanton and the political leadership in the Sissala East have been called upon to appeal to government to fast track the erection of a new border post in Limiera as that can increase business and jobs opportunities to the people.
The Custom division of the Ghana revenue collection has acquired a place in Limiera closed to the Tumu –Kupulima Leo border separating Burkina Faso to Ghana. This was disclosed by the upper west sector commander of Ceps under GRA Mr. Henry Atampubire on Radford FM when the station called the commander following the introduction of the CTN notes and its effects on communities sitting on border towns.
Responding to questions Mr. Henry said they will be building both offices and residential accommodation which he believes will introduce GCNET in the area that has the ripple effects of increasing businesses for food vendors, there will be fast clearance of goods and services as the cargo will now spread, exit and come so Ghana can truly be the gateway. The Tumu Kouro, the two MPs of Sissala east and west and opinion leaders encourage to push for government to construct a new post.
Mr. Atampubire said the cargo tracking note CTN which is been used by over 22 countries including the USA, EU, Nigeria will ensure trade facilitation and security beyond the revenue
collection and with the aim of making the country`s port as places of preferred destination.
This means the turnaround for shipped cargo will be reduced
and make it easier for land logged countries.
