ASSOCIATION OF CERTIFIED ELECTRICIANS IN TUMU URGED COLLEAGUES TO ABIDE BY ETHICS

The association of certified electricians held their annual general meeting last Friday where the association cautioned members to hold firm to the ethics of their job.

This is in line with a warning giving by energy commission with indications that the three northern regions have been identified for illegal activities that develops electrical fault and normally cause fire outbreaks.

The meeting brought together electricians who are certified by the energy commission and those who are still in the process to get their certification. The certified among whom included Stephen Baniachin,  Issaka Sati, Alhassan Yakubu and Gbene Fatawu adviced those without certification from the energy commission to work hard and make sure they get this certification to enable them do their job without interference.

In a two-hour interaction Fatawu explained to members of the association were without certification that they will not be allowed to work when the energy commission is aware of them and can be sued for any activity they are engaged with regarding electricity. He also urged that when the uncertified need help, they can contact the certified electricians among them in the association to guide them through the process of acquiring this certification and also during their engagements
