Miss Lieku Emmanuella Radford FM Sales promotion has disclosed that, Radford FM in collaboration with Ghana Health Service and other organizations are putting measures in place to commemorate this year’s HIV/AIDS day in Tumu in the Upper West Region of Ghana on the 1st December 2018.
Sister Emmanuella narrating the procedures on the Radford FM Masie Breakfast show on Thursday hosted by Mohammed Balu indicated that, on the first of December day Saturday early in the morning around 6:00 people are expected to come out in their numbers to participate in the programme with a float to further sensitize the masses in the municipality about the scourge of HIV Aids which appears to be increasing.
She continued that, there will also be a free health screening during the programme as a step for people to know their health status.
The young business lady continued that, after the float, the programme itself will now begin at 9:00 prompt at the forecourt of the Tumu Community Center where experts from the Ghana health and other institutions will deliver speeches to create awareness to the populace on what one is expected to do in order to be HIV/AIDS free and also to encourage people more especially the youth to beware of the dangers of the disease and what should be done after one contract the disease.
She also added that the programme will advised the population to take it easy with their friends, family members who are suffering from the virus as well make it known to them about the channels the disease transmits. She in her submissions explained that, the words would also advise the youth to be cautious of the kind of partners they live with as well to adopt the habit of using condoms and other contraceptives as methods of averting themselves from the deadly disease.
Lieku Emmanuella however took the opportunity and appealed to the general public to come out in their numbers on the 1st December to observe the day in the Sissala East Municipality.
