The regional director of national commission for civic education, Mrs Patience Sally Kumah, has asked people of Pulima and by extension people of Sissala West to be watchdogs over projects being undertaken in their respective communities.
She said that residents should own whatever projects brought to their communities and they should be part of the planning the implementation and monitoring and evaluation of them.
Ms. Patience Kumah has also charged community members to always ask of the expenses that go into project constructions and the type of materials being used, to curb issues of calamities and shoddy works by contractors.
She was speaking during a social audit meeting at Pulima, organised by NCCE with funding from European Union, to provide opportunity for the people of Sissala West to meet their duty bearers for them to account their stewardships to them in the previous years. Present amongst the dignitaries was the DCE for Sissala West district, Hon. Bakor Mohammed Zakaria.
